All Sapphire Dreams jewellery will come with an official Sapphire Dreams certificate card. This card is considered as an informal valuation, displaying the specifications of the jewellery piece with a disclaimer that we only use Australian Sapphires.
Jewellery without this certification will not be a Sapphire Dreams product.

Each Australian Sapphire sold on Sapphire Dreams larger than 0.75cts will come with a Sapphire Dreams Sapphire Certificate. Each certified Australian sapphire will have its ID number laser engraved onto the girdle of each sapphire as well as our Sapphire Dreams Logo.
Our sapphires are handpicked and assessed by our gemmologists with over 30 years combined experience in Australian gemstones utilising the latest grading techniques and equipment. Sapphire Dreams only uses natural and Australian Sapphires mined from NSW or QLD.

SAPPHIRE INFORMATION
The chemical composition of sapphire is Crystalline Aluminium Oxide - with Corundum being their mineral name. They are rated a 9 on the Moh’s scale of hardness, second only to diamond making them extremely durable stones, an attractive & more affordable alternative to diamonds.
SYMBOLISM & SPIRITUAL BENEFITS
Each sapphire colour represents something unique, with blue having romantic connotations, yellow recognised for health and healing properties, green attracting calmness, peace and thoughtfulness and orange symbolising joy and happiness. Teal sapphires combine the strengths of blue & green sapphires, as do Parti sapphires with their respective colours and hues.

Ethical and Sustainable - How our Australian Sapphires are mined
Australian Sapphires can be found in two distinct regions on the Eastern side of the Australian continent. In NSW they are found within the New England district of Northern NSW near Inverell and Glenn Innes. For Queensland, sapphires are found within the Anakie Gemfields around the villages of Sapphire and Rubyvale, and to the west of Emerald. NSW fields have large open cut mechanical mining whereas the Queensland fields have both open cut and small underground operations.
Combined with support from the Australian government, Australian sapphires are mined under government oversight with strong pro-environmental and worker laws. Once a sapphire deposit has been exhausted, it is rejuvinated to its original state. The final result being the mined area returned to normal.
Therefore, these gemstones are an attractive option for the ethical and sustainably focused clientele.'

In the rare event that a defect or imperfection is detected, you are invited to send it back to us to be inspected by an SGA jewellery expert.
